Private Lessons
Our private lessons are all about helping each student grow at their own pace. Each session is tailored to accommodate their needs. It’s a chance for them to get one-on-one attention, build their confidence, and have fun while learning. We make sure every child feels supported and encouraged as they explore their musical voice.

Ensembles
The Harp Ensemble Program at The Lady of Harp Academy offers young musicians the opportunity to collaborate, perform, and grow in a nurturing and culturally mindful environment. Focused on students from underrepresented communities, the program fosters musical excellence, creativity, and self-expression through the unique and transcendent sound of the harp.

Key Features:
● Group Rehearsals that teach listening, cooperation, and ensemble sensitivity.

● Culturally Inclusive Repertoire blending classical, contemporary, and culturally significant works that reflect the students' heritage.

● Performance Opportunities at local events, student recitals, and community programs to build confidence and stage presence.

● Mentorship & Peer Support promoting leadership, teamwork, and accountability among young harpists.

● Access to Instruments for students whose families may not be able to afford a harp, ensuring equity in participation.

● Chamber Music Exploration encourages students to explore duo, trio, and quartet formats within the harp family and with other instruments.

The Drum & Harp Project
This project shines a spotlight on two powerful musical forces:
the drumline and the harp ensemble. By bringing these two distinct groups together, we create a shared musical language that every student can speak—music!
Both the drumline and harp ensemble are made up of vibrant, creative students learning to express themselves through sound. Pairing these unconventional instruments not only challenges the norm but also broadens the musical horizons of our students, most of whom come from historically marginalized communities.
Through this collaboration, students will gain rich musical knowledge
while building confidence, focus, teamwork, and stage presence—all
nurtured through consistent weekly classes. This unique pairing is
more than just a performance opportunity; it’s a transformative
experience in musical growth and self-expression.

Wellness Initiative
Wellness is an essential pillar in the holistic development of musicians. The demands of performance, rehearsals, and consistent practice—balanced with everyday responsibilities—can create significant stress. To support our students' mental and physical well-being, we offer ongoing opportunities to engage with local wellness professionals who provide guidance, resources, and practices that promote a healthy, sustainable musical journey.

Community Engagement
We believe music is meant to be shared. That’s why community engagement is a big part of what we do. Our students get chances to perform at local events, partner with neighborhood organizations, and be part of projects that uplift and inspire. These experiences help build confidence, connect families, and remind everyone that music is a
powerful way to bring people together.

Prior to formally incorporating, we held our first community workshop on December 12, 2021, in Miami Gardens. This city was chosen in an effort to be visible in a BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) neighborhood. It was a two hour class that focused on beginners in a community setting that welcomed students of all socioeconomic backgrounds.

We finished 2024 with our first Winter Recital which featured students from elementary school to college. Parents were delighted by the sight of their children on stage enjoying the captivating sounds of the harp. Starbucks served as our food sponsor. The Miami Woman’s Club donated the use of their venue. A harp duo was featured at The Sonata Assisted Living Facility for the Holiday Bar-b-que. A second harp duo was also featured during the Menorah Lighting in North Miami Beach. While these events were not produced by this organization, we were happy to provide
our students with the opportunity to entertain the community.

Students perform in a variety of places other than the recital stage:
-Assisted Living Facilities (Dec 2024)
-The Miami Womans’ Club (Dec 2024)
-Menorah Lighting for the City of North Miami Beach (Dec 2024)
-The Maestro Rolney Duverny Foundation Awards
