Ms. Sawyer is an active performer, sharing her music through solo work, ensembles, and orchestras across South Florida and beyond. She’s passionate about teaching and has created and led harp ensembles for children, while also running a vibrant private studio. Her healing-focused performances have brought music to senior communities and reiki circles.

As the founder of The Lady of Harp Academy, Ms. Sawyer is dedicated to providing a safe, creative space for children—especially those from marginalized communities—to explore the harp and other musical arts. The academy offers private lessons, student recitals, community engagement opportunities, chamber groups, field trips, photo shoots, and scholarship support. It’s a space where young people can grow musically while embracing the strength of their cultural identity.

With over 20 years of experience as a music educator in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Ms. Sawyer brings both heart and expertise to her work. She holds a Master of Science in Reading from Florida Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a TESOL Endorsement from Florida International University. Her performances have been featured at events like Buskerfest and Make Music Miami.
